Double jaw surgery performed to open a compromised airway and improve breathing — combining functional airway correction with facial aesthetics.
This case showcases the dual benefit of orthognathic double jaw surgery: airway improvement alongside aesthetic facial enhancement. The patient presented with obstructive airway caused by retrognathic jaw positioning. By surgically advancing both jaws, the airway volume was significantly increased — resolving breathing difficulties and improving sleep quality — while simultaneously creating better facial proportions and profile aesthetics.
