About This Procedure

Orthognathic surgery (jaw surgery) corrects skeletal discrepancies of the jaws that cannot be resolved with orthodontics alone. Dr. Mashaly specializes in single and double jaw procedures including Class II/III corrections, gummy smile treatment, open bite correction, and crossbite resolution. The surgery is performed in coordination with an orthodontist for optimal functional and aesthetic outcomes.

Is This Right for You?

Ideal candidates have jaw discrepancies causing functional problems (difficulty chewing, speaking, or breathing) or significant facial asymmetry. Patients should have completed jaw growth (usually 17–21 years old). Pre-surgical orthodontic treatment is typically required for 12–18 months.
